Haven't been bitten by a corrupted save issue in a long time because I swear I turned that evil thing off.
1Locate your Assasin's Creed saves folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame\4923) and back it up in a different place. 2. Open this folder - you will see a set of numbered pairs of *.save and * (sometimes it's just *.save files). Pick only one of the *.save files and delete all the rest.
