A few more contrivances notwithstanding, Assassin's Creed II is a better game than its forebear and is a beautiful and memorable experience on its own terms. But it's more than just a game--it's Maybe the villains aren’t great in Brotherhood but they weren’t great in 2 either. Idk man I’ll strip everything away from my rant and boil it down to a simple sentence. “The gameplay of Brotherhood is better than 2.”. Yes 2 had 5 maps but there wasn’t really anything to do in any of them.

So to summarize it, syndicate looks better, plays easier (combat wise) and has better stealth and combat overall. If youre also asking about how hard it is to 100%, then easier than unity, but thats cause unity has soooo much side content it doesnt even make sense. Idk if its hard to platinum or not cuz I never bother to do achievements.

The higher-ups at Ubi probably made them attach the game to Assassins creed to sell copies, which it most certainly did. The “OG AC fans” are in their 30’s now. It’s makes no sense for Ubisoft to cater solely to the demographic. Same thing Call of Duty is doing. Odyssey is a phenomenal game that’s still fun 2+ years later.

Which sidequests did you play? Because there were plenty that were incredibly fleshed out. The Thasos questline is a good example (Part 1 Part 2.) Multiple unique characters, multiple unique locations, builds upon the lore. There aren't any World Events in Valhalla that can match up to something like that. Maybe, if The Killer goes well enough, and Michael Fassbender is daring enough, Assassin’s Creed 2 could one day be resurrected, perhaps even with David Fincher in the director’s chair.
